I’m impressed with this dusk to dawn outdoor lamp post. It wasn’t very hard to put together, and seems good quality. The problem I foresee is someone with no electrical experience trying to put it together and install it. My husband is an electrician, and I’m glad. This light fixture is terrific. It is made of metal, no cheap plastic, and there is a beautiful engraving pattern on the glass, something I wasn't anticipating. They included the bulb, which is supposed to flicker I believe. The thumbnail photo of the listing makes the glass look smoked, but it is crystal clear! When I first purchased it for a pole I already have, I was concerned that the square base was the only option. I was wrong. You have the OPTION of square or round bases! I even took it to the pole and ensured it fit. Installation looks quite easy (the problem is the base of the pole on the snow covered ground, we have to wait until spring. But I am incredibly excited to see this assembled on the pole, and working in the yard. It will be a nice improvement to our exterior lighting in a subdivision that doesn't have any street lights.. This dusk to dawn outdoor lamp post in rub oil bronze color is gorgeous! It is NOT solar, it is electrical, but it still is a great attribution to your outdoor aesthetics. It took my husband about an hour to put it together and he has plans to make it become solar powered! The lights are very bright for nighttime and look beautiful during the daytime too. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This light fixture feels like it's made of quality materials. The metal, glass, and included accessories have the potential to last a long time. The powder coating is flawless and appears to have been applied with intention. It comes with easy to follow instructions, and almost everything you need is included, minus a few tools/supplies and a "would like to have." There are two ways to mount the light fixture, on a flat surface (template included) or a 3" round pole. I would have liked to have seen an included gasket for the base for either the round pole or the flat surface to help prevent moisture from getting in underneath, which is why I went with 4 stars.
