The stands themselves are beautiful and much nicer than expected. The only reason I didn't give five stars is that the screw threading on the poles was not perfect. The one pole threading had what looked like a bead of metal or possibly solder which kept the screw from attaching. Fortunately using a file I was able to remove it. A second set of threads was just a little off and I had to force the screw in. Once I got it started however it did attach. So... beautiful stands if you have a little mechanical know-how.. A very functional record stand/storage unit. It included good directions and was easy to assemble. A drill driver or electric screwdriver is a must. With these it took just over 4 hours to assemble the unit. I did put wood glue in the grooves that the back pieces slip into, to give it more stability.
