This wall clock is a replica of one that hung behind the counter and is framed in a hand-painted steel antiqued copper rim and glass bezel. The brass finish pendulum adds a touch of elegance to this beautiful clock.

This is a very pretty clock. I got the one with the darker face...the black background. It is not as bright as it is pictured in the write up on the website. I do not think I would have bought it if I had seen it in person, but it is pretty, and I have it hung so I will keep it. I do love the pendulum. Some people had complained about loud ticking...I hear no ticking at all. It keeps good time. I think you would like it, just be aware it is not a bright clock. Perfect for a den or a study. This clock is absolutely gorgeous and is made of top quality. I’ve wanted it for over a year. It came very well packed and took about a week. My first delivery was intact, but the hour hand was loose and not working (you can’t open it or reach in to fix), so as soon as I reported it, Wayfair sent a replacement. It works beautifully! The clock takes 1 AA battery and the gears turn separately with 2 AA batteries. I thought it might lean toward bluessilvers but it actually has discreet red designs on the inside and has more gold. The great part is that it would still match with blues and possibly any color scheme. I put it at my front entry, so it works perfect as a clock and a quick reflection check when leaving, but is also a beautiful statement piece upon entry. Note that it won’t hang with a wire. There are two hanging loops on the back that must each hang directly onto the wall. I only have one side on a stud, but I think it’s doing just fine with gallery hooks I got from the hardware store that support the weight and are supposed to work on drywall.. Sr. US. This clock is a high-end item, providing a great focal point. I was pleased by the size, even though I measured and expected a large clock, this has a magnificent presence. It is at least the 4" thick depth and gives it an impressive look. The gears move - at first they were not moving - which would have been OK with us; however, after a day we realized they were moving. Could have been it took a bit for them to loosen up after shipping - or maybe the battery for that operation wasn't quite seated correctly - although we didn't take it down and check. It is a heavy clock - a little awkward to hang but the metal bar is strong and secure. Doesn't come with screws or anchors - so have them on hand. UPDATE: 3/08/2026 - have had the clock for a little over 2 weeks and have been experiencing an intermittent faint high-pitched whistle in our home. Finally diagnosed as the clock. Removed the batteries and the whistle stopped. Put the battery back in for the clock itself - no sound. Put the batteries back in for the gears to move, whistle started up. Am in contact now with manufacturer through Wayfair - they keep wanting pictures but there is no photo that would show an internal mechanical sound. A bit frustrating. UPDATE 3/10/2026: Manufacturer asked that I purchase new batteries and replace all three. Did that but still experiencing the whistling sound. Unfortunately, the clock is now out of stock, so a replacement item is not an option. Because the clock is unique and I love it, I will keep it. The manufacturer has provided a 20% discount because of the mechanical issues. Their Customer Service is SUPERB! I updated my rating to 4 stars because of their excellent service; however, the mechanical issues with the clock emitting the high-pitched whistle warrants a lower rating for the item itself. A few things to point out: the color of the wooden border of this clock was almost a blonde natural finish when I unpackaged it, it seems (based on the review photos,) that the finish fluctuates. I actually had some dark walnut stain that I applied to darken it up, prior to this fix, it was so blonde that it seemed it hadn’t even been stained at all. But more importantly, as others have noted, the number 4 in Roman Numerals is NOT depicted accurately on this clock. All of the other numbers are, so it’s rather strange that the designer made this flaw. Also, because the primary color of the metal framing and numbers on the clock is black, the hands (which are also black) blend in to the clock, so it’s often quite hard to see them. I will likely need to lightly brush the tips of each hand with gold paint to make them stand out. Lastly, other reviewers note that the clock is silent, mine is not, it has a distinctive ticking. You can definitely hear it from across the room. I’m rating it four stars for its light hanging weight and it’s large size. A star off for the number error and the loud ticking.. Jennifer.
