The bed itself has been sturdy and the directions were easy to understand. Some issues included missing part numbers (stickers came off bed parts and fasteners are unlabeled and must be sorted prior to construction), missing fasteners (two different screw types were missing, requiring a trip to the hardware store for replacements). The biggest issue was with connecting the upper bunks together. The 30mm screw is simply too short to fit through the slot in the bed and connect to the nut on the other side. My three kiddos are super excited about their new bunkbed! It took my husband, son, and I three hours to put it together but the pictures in the directions were straight forward. We did have to take two parts apart and reassemble them as I missed the direction they had to be facing in order to attach pieces in later steps. I put a soft bath math with a grippy bottom at the foot of the ladder and tucked it under the mattresses on either side to prevent direct falls onto the lower bedframes. The storage space on the top bunk is great for storing a good amount of toys and stuffed animals; the storage drawers between the beds on the bottom are nice for smaller items. Got this loft bed for my 8 year old daughter. Its perfect for her needs. The desk is a little small (ie short) but it still works. I wanted it more as a study desk. We live in an apartment so the bed firs perfectly. Its low and doesnt take up that much space. Theres also lots of room underneath the bed to crawl around and hide.
