The bed is great! The only thing that was frustrating was that it was advertised as the lowest price and had a 24 hour window to get the offer so I took it. I found out two days later that the Bed went on sale for a lower price and when I contacted customer service, they were unwilling to match that price or even let me return the bed and get my money back and then order the Bed at the lower price. We love our Murphy Bed! My husband and I put it together which took about 4 hrs. We recommend having two people to assemble it. I liked putting it together and the directions were easy to follow too. The reason I did 4 stars out of 5 is because there was a scratch crack in one of the major pieces and we were already halfway done with putting it together and needed it the next day, so we werent about to take it apart to order another. Also, one of the screw holes broke on the locking piston upon screwing one of the screws in and we didnt even screw it in that hard. The only thing I thought could use some improvement would be with the hinges where a mattress lay. I do love the bed. One suggestion: I tried to get the shipping date changed before I even placed the order. You cannot change it online. So I called and was told by an associate that it could be done. It was a difficult process and in the end, the bed was delivered on the original date! Arrived quickly and was packaged well. No issues with assembly - it took two of us about 45 minutes to do. Quality is really good for the price. I ordered a 3” metal box spring to put under a 12” memory foam mattress and it’s the perfect height to cover the opening under the headboard but isn’t too high.
