We are using these as an attractive barrier to the alley by our garage. They are sturdy and really pretty. We have planted some wildflowers that are not boomed yet. This is an update a year later. These planters are such are such a pretty barrier to the alley. We get high winds here in Okla. We have zip tied them all together on upper and lower sides. Filled with pebbles, then dirt, and now have beautiful blooming. They have not blown over. My husband cemented to cinder blocks to the back of each on the driveway. I am OBSESSED with these! I've loved window boxes since living in Germany in the 1990s but always had a hard time finding ones to fit my deck railings. I've done the wire holder with plastic box and they just looked blah. These look amazing! I can't wait until the grass grows tall and petunias and sweet potato vines spill over. I ended up also buying the supporting deck railing brackets because I worried about the composite balusters not being able to support such a heavy box when weighted with wet soil.. Maria. MA.
