I bought this item because it is one of the bigger type available. The outside finish is nicely polished and the mortar had adequate depth. Unfortunately this item did not last long. The pestle broke after three light use. I would not recommend this item.

It’s great looking, but the first one i received was chipped, They did send me a new one free of charge though.

I hadn't checked the size of the mortar and pestle before buying it. It's huge! Going to keep this out on the counter and use it frequently. Very heavy, nice quality M+P

This came damaged. It has a large chip on the top side of the bowl. It's larger than I expected and very heavy. Price is good for the product. Low rating due to damaged item received.

This is extremely large and very heavy. I was expecting something smaller. However, it does do the trick. It might be a good thing it is larger since I can mix different spices at once.

Absolutely awesome! Got it for my husband who does most of the cooking and is a true gourmet. He was so happy to have such a wonderful tool and we both find it extremely esthetically pleasing, and very well made.

Cannot get wet. Because the inside is not sealed, once wet its soaked in and ends up cracking
