Best purchase from Wayfair!! A hose from the propane tank to the heater is not needed. We used it in the garage while we work on our cars or to play games. Can be used with the garage door closed. This heater can put out some heat!! I set mine at 60 degrees and it stays 70-80 degrees in my well insulated small home. It is NOT a wall insert - it mounts in the floor- I purchased it to mount on the wall and then had to call Wayfair because it does not mount on the wall as advertised. I replaced a broken Mr Heater Buddy with 2 of these for emergency heat. Not great for indoor use, more suited to a garage. But the Buddy's gas lines got clogged (probably insects) sitting in storage. I needed something resilient that doesn't break while it sleeps and can be set up and packed away easily. This fit the bill perfectly. Tested the DynaGlo heater last night in an 800 square foot mostly insulated barn/workshop. The ignition worked on the first click and on a 50* night it heated up the space to about 58* in an hour on the low setting. The unit is made of thin sheet metal which is fine but the weight makes it hard to keep steady while depressing the ignition button (notice the bricks I placed against the base in my photo). I filed down the sharp edges on the sheet metal holes where my hands go to pick it up. Comes with a 10 foot hose and regulator rated for 5psi. The flame is larger and makes more of a sound than expected but it's nowhere near as loud an annoying as the rocket heaters. It absolutely requires concrete or another non-flammable surface to sit on and 72" clearance around it. It's basically a propane fire pit with a can around it. Overall I am happy with the simplicity and function in the mild weather. Probably won't be the main heat source for my leaky old space but a backup to use as my woodstove is heating up.. Trescha.
