They obviously don’t compare to the name brand expensive options but they seem to function perfectly fine and installation was no problem. I’m not sure how they will hold up, specifically the finish. It was the most difficult of all the installs because there was something wrong with the inside of the mechanism, which is probably why it was returned in the first place — I made it work, but it’s not the quality I would expect from buying something that was supposedly brand new.. These are excellent door knobs. Our builder installed Kwikset knobs throughout our home on interior doors and on the exterior doors with Smartkey. When one exterior entry knob failed after a couple of years, Kwikset immediately sent out a replacement. I followed the enclosed instructions and the knob functions perfectly. With the Smartkey function I was able to easily rekey the knob to match my old key. No need to call a locksmith. Didn't even have to bother my husband to replace it! Love these things!
