Luster and sheen are what make Shoal terrazzo an undeniably compelling decorative wall tile. This collection refashions the Italian technique of terrazzo by replacing the traditional natural stone chips with brilliant mother-of-pearl.

Timeless terrazzo goes contemporary in this collection of large-format porcelain tiles. Designed and made in Italy, honors the rich history of terrazzo - the blending of marble chips and clay invented in the 16th century - while reimagining a classic with modern 3-D printing. The result is a color-body porcelain tile with subtle texture and a handcrafted, artisanal look.

Sleek, bold, and full of character, this tile design combines terrazzo and limestone in a stunning fan pattern that’s anything but ordinary. Its honed finish offers a velvety smooth texture with just enough sheen to catch the light beautifully. Featuring a rich palette of jet black, smoky gray, and light gray tones speckled with white and silver accents, this tile brings depth and contrast to any surface it graces. The unique fan shape is a conversation starter, blending modern flair with classic elegance. Whether you’re creating a dramatic kitchen backsplash, upgrading your bathroom to a luxurious retreat, or adding personality to commercial floors, this tile fits the bill. Perfect for light or high-traffic floors, shower walls, and even heat-prone areas like fireplace surrounds, its versatility is unmatched. The mesh-mounted design makes installation a breeze, while its moderate variation ensures a natural yet polished look. Just a heads-up—it’s not a fan of swimming pools, but everywhere else? It’s a total showstopper.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I opted for mosaic tile for my kitchen back splash to give it unique and timeless look. Fortunately my husband does custom tile work so it was an easy installing process. The only con is that mosaic tile has more grout line compared to ceramic tiles, and the grout lines are more difficult to clean than the tile itself.. _walkingonsunshine_7131. Fri Jun 20 2025
