It was time to replace a 20 year old granite sink. We had looked for a couple of months and nothing had stood out. This sink caught plenty of attention due to two things…first, the design and second, the basket strainers in the drains. The larger side is the perfect size for cleaning our pots, pans, and skillets (we cook a lot). The smaller side is ideal for washing vegetables or fruits. If you just need to rinse off any dishes, a standard drainer will set right down in the larger side (or at least the one we have does). A standard dishpan will fit in there too! Installation is fairly easy if you’re familiar with basic home repair and plumbing. I have to do some tile repair, so mine is a little more in-depth. This sink is a wonderful choice for any situation. I highly recommend this one. It’s stylish, practical, and looks absolutely amazing! The metal finish is a beautiful addition to any kitchen decor! I want to start off with saying I absolutely love the sink. I love having a black sink because it looks a lot cleaner and slick, but having a granite one was a lot of maintenance, a fiberglass one had so much white calcium buildup, it was annoying, and nothing would get rid of it. I’m hoping that this one will be way better. It looks way better so far as way easier to clean and looks way more seamless along my countertop. However, I’m giving it four stars because the measurements, yes, were correct, match exactly to what our other sink was, and what our counter hole already was, but there is little lips underneath the main ledge that made it too tight and my husband was able to break the welds off to fit the sink in seamlessly, but I don’t think they go off the measurements for the lips that are under its, so just take that in mind. Just installed my new sink and it looks amazing! My old sink had two sides and two drains, one with a garbage disposal. This single basin one is so much better. No more food going down the non garbage disposal side. Just a warning- the sink is very heavy. Took two of us to hold it and get into position to mount. I chose the under sink mount. If you do this as well make sure you get some heavy duty under sink mount bars to hold it up. It is heavy! A standard garbage disposal fits fine on it. If you go that route you do not need the included drain assembly. The white looks nice and the included rack for the bottom is a nice feature. Will help protect from dishes dropping in sink. Really love our single bowl sink. I had a double stainless steel sink for a while and have always wanted the big, white, sink that will make it so much easier to wash pots and pans and just soak things. Was packed very well, no damage whatsoever to it considering it is a fire clay sink. It was not the exact exact measurements we needed, because our sink opening was cut into granite, not in a complete rectangle sheet, but more rounded on the edges. But my husband made it work. Be aware, that the lovely strainerbasket that comes with it is not compatible with a garbage disposal. Doesn’t have the groove around it to attach the garbage disposal. We had to go to Lowe’s to get a different one, and will be donating this one. Hence the 4 stars. . It came with a bottom rack to place your dishes on and pots and pans, so less chance in scratching. . But I’m not sure I’m going to keep that in there as I like to wipe out and rinse the sink when I’m finished and do not wanna have to take this in and out.
