Love the old fashioned look these knobs add to our knotty alder doors. The only thing I might add is you may need to chisel out some wood (as shown above) to lay metal strike plate in flush. If not it seemed to keep the door from closing properly.. Lisa. TX. Mon Jul 08 2019

A little too shiny for my taste but hoping it will patina into a more muted antique look. Also, my contractor couldn’t get the knobs to be vertical for some reason, so it’s a bit awkward to use with a horizontal oval knob. But classy looking and fits very well in my Art Deco apartment.. We had this brand at our old house. They have since changed up the inner workings which in one case is great and in another bad. The good part is the door knobs no longer get screwed on and thats a huge plus. The bad part is the door can be shut with the door in the locked position. It doesnt unlock unless the interior knob is turned. The knobs can also bind up if the faceplate is attached too tight to the door. Even with these downsides...it is a nice set and plan on purchasing a dozen more.. John. WV. Tue Sep 22 2020
