The doorknob is designed for hallway doors, laundry rooms and closet doors that latch but needn't lock. The latch plate is square and isn't removable.

Decent quality for the price. Overall for the price point these are a decent option. They obviously don’t compare to the name brand expensive options but they seem to function perfectly fine and installation was no problem. I’m not sure how they will hold up, specifically the finish.
