I have had this product for over 3 years, and it has been rock-solid. I love being able to lock with a touch and unlock with a fingerprint and fallback to a key, just in case. I loaded my kids' prints in the lock and they can come and go as needed (plus I can see when they do ;) ). I have to change the batteries every 4 weeks or so, but that's no big deal to me. Just bought some rechargeables and swap them out. The one thing that is important is ensuring that you line the strike plate with the deadbolt as perfectly as possible. If it rubs against the lock when unlocking and locking, it can really reduce battery life since the motor works harder to lock; and the extra strain will likely reduce the lock's life.. Sanguire.
