With this Philips smart lock, the world's first deadbolt with palm recognition, enjoy the most secure and convenient unlocking experience. Or unlock with a key, PIN code, or the Philips Home Access app to make returning home stress-free.

The locksmith came to install the lock and we discovered that two of the four batteries that came with the unit were dead. I called Wayfair's great customer service folks, who are sending out four fresh batteries. Normally this would not be an issue but I have never seen these batteries before. They are CR 123A 3V lithium batteries. In researching these, the internet says the batteries should have a 10-year shelf life, I don't know why they would be dead. The lock seems sturdy and very well made. I have three other keypad locks that take AA batteries and I am constantly replacing them. When I get power on the lock I will update my review.. Brenda. For use on exterior doors where keyed entry and security is needed

I put this on my Christmas wish-list and Santa obliged me with two of them. I installed the first one on my back door. Everything went well and I was up and running in about 20 minutes, But, as I fiddled around with it I was somewhat disappointed to learn that the overall functionality is average. I did not read too many of the reviews, although it was recommended in its category. It works with my smart home hub, which is a lesser known company but fits well with my idea of a smart home system. But I was disappointed to learn that I could only lock/unlock the deadbolt lock. I could not find out which code was used to manually open the door nor could I set up any lock codes through the hub. The reality is that I didn't do enough research. It's a Kwikset, so I feel secure, I just wish it had a bit more "ease of use.". Peterv959. Memphis, TN. Sat Dec 09 2023

This single-cylinder deadbolt can be locked or unlocked by using the fingerprint sensor or key from the outside as well as the turn button from the inside. Available in both contemporary and traditional styles; find the perfect match for your home decor. Halo Touch brings all the convenience and security right to your fingertips.

I have had this product for over 3 years, and it has been rock-solid. I love being able to lock with a touch and unlock with a fingerprint and fallback to a key, just in case. I loaded my kids' prints in the lock and they can come and go as needed (plus I can see when they do ;) ). I have to change the batteries every 4 weeks or so, but that's no big deal to me. Just bought some rechargeables and swap them out. The one thing that is important is ensuring that you line the strike plate with the deadbolt as perfectly as possible. If it rubs against the lock when unlocking and locking, it can really reduce battery life since the motor works harder to lock; and the extra strain will likely reduce the lock's life.. Sanguire.
