I was worried this backsplash would be too busy based on pics others posted and I could not find any kind of visualizer for it to see it in an example except MS International (supplier's site) but they used the other color, not this one. Now that I have it up the pics don't do it justice. As long as you have a fairly plain countertop it will look nice. These are heavy tiles. You need to be careful with them. They are heavy and pebbles, but they do chip if dropped. The colors are lovely. I am using them to turn my plastic plant table into a stone top table for my outside walkway. Laid them over a custom cut wood top and filling the gaps with crushed oyster shells and sealing. They look really good amongst my various pots. I will use outdoor paint and loose pebbles on the sides after sealing the wood. These would look amazing in a shower or bathroom. These are stones of various sizes that have been halved and handset on a fiberglass mesh backing. The order arrived on time and looked good. Color is consistent. It is grade 1 according to the specs, which is the softest and probably easily scratched. Many specifications are either missing or not available such as water absorption, sealing info, DCOF rating, etc. Since it is engineered stone, I assumed it would not absorb water. I did an overnight water absorption test and the pebbles did not seem to absorb water. This is exactly what I want for a shower floor. This field tile no large veins or crystals and it is fine-grained. It is a sturdy example of the rustic, hardy materials that nature produces under the harsh conditions of slate formation.

I used this tile for the floor of my shower and love it! It has a natural slate look so the tile is a little uneven and purposefully not smooth... but it feels great on my feet and actually gives a tiny bit of grip so I don’t feel like I am going to slip in the shower.
