I am writing this review solely based on the packaging and quality of the product in the box as we are not quite ready to install. The pieces are a very heavy metal with a matte black finish. I am excited about how this will ultimately look in our finished basement. We are planning to use the barn door setup to separate an exercise area from a “family room” area. I had our contractor look it over and he was quite impressed with the quality for the price. He also said that it included excellent quality screws and bolts. He said that often times those are sub par and don’t hold up well after repeated use of the doors. (He also said he often buys “after market” bolts to get the job done right.) This product came exactly as described and it was packaged well, including installation directions. We have a semi-pocket style, sliding barn door that we access going in and out of our laundry room area. So the front side of the door has a traditional pull handle, but the back side needed to be able to slide into the casing of the door requiring a flush, flat door handle. If you have thinner or thicker door, please contact Homacer for the correct length of the hex bolts of the hangers or you can get them from your local hardware store. Please also notify Homacer to put spacer extensions in the package if you have thicker doors. The spacer extension will extend the track further from the wall to fit the thicker door. If you have a door trim, you’d better put a header board that is as thick as the trim and then attach the hardware to the header board. From the top of the door to the ceiling, you need to have clearance for u shape bracket bypass hardware. All tracks that are under coming in one piece. All tracks that are above are connected by two tracks using a junction plate.

On the side facing the bathroom we painted the bolts blue to blend with solid door. We left hardware black on the laundry room side.
