DIY peel-and-stick 3D wall decor genuine mother-of-pearl shell mosaic tile for kitchen backsplash, bathroom accent wall super white.

I ordered samples ivory and white. I loved the ivory for its subtle tones of brown, pink, beige, and gray. The tile came boxed snug. No broken or chipped tiles. It is shiny and beautiful. There are 15 mini squares mounted on mesh which is mounted to a padded peel and stick layer. It is EXTREMELY sticky. Even 5 seconds of contact and that tile is NOT coming off! The tiles were very well cut and mounted strongly to the backing. I had to yank one off the wall, sure that I would ruin it, but only one little square was damaged and a dot of superglue made it good as new. To cut them I used tinsnips, which because they are natural shell and very thin and brittle, resulted in splitting and cracking. I hid those edges under caulk. This pattern is attractive but the vinyl is very fragile. I am using it for an art room floor and I expected it would be abused by paint etc. However you really have to be very careful when moving furniture across this flooring. This stick on flooring is a medium weight material that seems as if it would stand up to medium traffic, it comes in a roll so you may want to unroll for a day or so to flatten it out and to air out as it does have an off smell to it unfortunately I found out the hard way. Love these! Looks amazing.. used for an accent wall in the bathroom to my beach cottage and I am 100% satisfied. Tiles came in within 2 weeks and with 0 broken tiles. Pretty thin so I would suggest using double sided tile adhesive as the mortar will most likely bleed through then you wouldn’t be able to grout In those areas + the double sided adhesive is mess free! I ended up returning the tile. I actually liked it a lot and would have kept it IF I could have laid it out in the pattern online. Wayfair customer service was great in trying to help and put me in touch with the seller. The problem was that the case of tile was all one dimensional and there was no way to put them together to achieve the pattern. Pearl tile is not recommended to install in places where it will be submerged in water, such as a shower floor or pool, as submersion will cause the tile to darken over time.
