Woodlink WD1 Wood Duck Nesting House Box with 4 x 3 Inch Oval Entrance Hole

I was excited to get this. I could have purchased this exact model at Fleet Farm, but I chose Wayfair due to free shipping. When it arrived, it looked very nice, but there's a huge crack where they drilled the mounting hole. It was in a wood knot. If I were to have inspected it at a brick and mortar store like Fleet Farm, I would never have purchased it. It will need repair before use. I am thinking about returning it. So sorry. I wanted this wood duck house! I am attaching pictures of the crack from the outside and again from the inside of the duck house.
