This is a good looking lamp. The description calls it a metal lamp but the base is actually solid travertine limestone. It is unpolished and its many natural pits and voids are unfilled. The color is neutral and should work with any decor. The weight might be of concern if you have children who might knock it over, (its nearly 15 pounds) but your cat is not going to be able to knock it over.
