SecurityMan 2 In 1 Security Bar Sliding Door , Adjustable Patio Door Lock in Chrome

Very handy security bar to have. We live in a rental so having an option that doesnt require nailsscrews for installation is ideal. We needed a product that would also prevent our child from eloping. I use one of the bars to secure our front door as well as the sliding back door and, so far, theyre prevented him from opening the doors. Being able to place the sliding glass bar high up on the frame has also been helpful Theyre sturdy, easy to assemble, and well-priced. Having the option to change the ends out depending on our needs is a great option.

It's OK, nothing really great. The construction is not bad but it's not super robust either. The looks are chrome (shiny). The utility is not huge in my personal setup. You have to incline it to the desired angle between where you door lock handle is situated and the floor, and then the trick is to make it snug tight which is where I am failing. If I tighten it today, does not mean that set up is intact the next day for you to reuse it. I will not recommend the product.

Quick synopsis this unit is solid, does its job, its easy to assemble and put in place, (includes instructions), the price is right, and it being a 2 in 1 device is an added bonus. The only issue I had was that the door clamp on the top, and stability foot on the bottom dont lock in place, but that hasnt been an issue so far. Full Review I actually purchases this for my mother who lives alone in an apartmentcondo just to add another layer of protection to the front door, (unit was already equipt w a standard lock deadbolt), and it gave us both peace of mind. This bar replaces a very similar unit, that I bought her a few years back that she really liked, but ended up giving to a friend, (mothers always helping, lol), so I wanted to get her a replacement. This unit seems very sturdy strong it being a 2 in 1 is a great bonus. The main thing for me was it had to be easy for her to use, and of course it had to do its intended job. I made sure she was able to lock it in place properly by herself without a lot of effort, and she was. I also tested it personally from both sides of the door, and it did its job. The reason I couldnt give it 5 stars is bc the way the door hook (top) footstability foot (bottom) is designed. They both slide on to either end of the bar snuggly, but theres nothing securely holding either end in place, so there is some movement, which can cause them to shift out of place if hastily used. I understand why the removable parts arent permanently attached, as it has to operate as 2 seperate devices, but the same time they could have been equipt with a locking in place connection that could also be manually released if needed. They could have also made the removable pieces mount deeper onto the bar. Other than the one issue this unit seems to do its job, but if that changes for any reason I will update my review.

I live in aptarment and use it for my entrance door. Works very happy with my purchase woul recommend.
