I was nervous at purchase because there were no other reviews but it was exactly what I had been looking for so I took the risk. This thing is so cool and perfect for in front of the hidden gaming room entrance, not to mention a fraction of the price of most of those built in bookcases/hidden doors. A couple things: 1) there are very small nail holes all over the front of the shelves. Not sure if they just forgot to fill the holes on this one or if it will be like that for all of them. They are so minor but worth noting. 2) My husband put it together and said it was very easy. 3) It’s very heavy! Definitely a two person job to lift the box as well as lift the bookcase up to install. 4) It’s a very sturdy piece and opens smoothly BUT my 4 year old isn’t strong enough to slide it open - the 10 year old is.
