I purchased the Vornado Portal Low Profile Window Fan for our nearly 200-year-old farmhouse, which does not have central air conditioning, and it has made a noticeable difference in keeping the house comfortable. One of my favorite features is the exhaust mode, which does an excellent job of pulling hot, stale air out of the house, especially after a warm day or when cooking. The low-profile design fits nicely in the window without being bulky or obstructing the view. It was easy to install, and the controls are straightforward to use. It comes with 3 wind speed, low (1050RPM), medium (1150RPM) and high (1300RPM), and also offers far air delivery distance from 5m to 7m. You can select the desired speed with the knob. To achieve even coolness distribution, the steel grill links interior and exterior spaces, then aluminum fan blades create strong air to better transfer coolness to every corner. The front grill is also removable for easy washing. During operation, the fan produce noises lower than 70 dB and is ideal for warehouse, greenhouse, workshop, outdoor patio, factory and basement.

Purchased 3 to be installed in our large garage. They feel pretty substantial except the blades were quite a bit more flimsy than I was expecting.
