The WGB21B is a great "point of entry" filtration system and an excellent alternative to the larger WGB22B for smaller homes. The WGB21B will filter water directly from your source. This means that water from every outlet will have passed through this filter, providing up to 50,000 Gal. of clean water for the entire family. The first stage of this system houses a 5-micron high-capacity polypropylene sediment filter (FP15B). This filter is responsible for removing dirt, rust, and most suspended solids, to protect the CTO carbon block filter. The second stage houses the 5-micron CTO coconut shell carbon block filter (FC15B). Block carbon is more effective than other forms of carbon in that it is finely ground up carbon packed into a solidified block. This means they have a higher density than other types of carbon filters and are therefore more effective in removing their targeted contaminants. The carbon block filter knocks out bad tastes and odors, removes over 90% of sediment and chlorine, and is highly effective on chemicals, like pesticides, herbicides, and industrial chemicals.

The SP220 is a point of use system for the reduction and prevention of sediment and lime scale accumulation on the inside of tankless water heaters and traditional water heaters. The heavy wall polypropylene housing utilizes our 5 micron 20” sediment filter which includes a proprietary scale prevention media designed to prevent and reduce harmful scale build up on heating elements and water heater tanks and prevent corrosion from chlorides, iron and silica. It will be effective in water hardness up to 15 GPG. This wall mounted unit is designed to be installed prior to a water heater and will provide a flow rate of up to 14 gallons per minute (GPM). The standard inlet and outlet connections are 3/4” NPT and has a design pressure of 125 PSI (6.6 bar) with a maximum operating temperature of 113°F (45°C). The melt blown, polypropylene cartridge has graded depth filtration to provide exceptional dirt loading capacity with high flow rates and minimal pressure loss. This filter was misrepresented by Wayfair. The filter that I received did not match the filter pictured on this website. It appears that it has been opened and relabeled as well as being dirty. This is shown in the pictures. The filter was not shrink wrapped as they have been in the past. The shipping packaging was also poor causing the rubber cap to come loose in transit further causing me to receive a less than sanitary filter. I returned this filter along with the one year set, but Wayfair claimed they never received this item. They will not refund the cost of the filter and it’s shipping. I guess they can sell whatever inferior product they wish without being responsible for it.
