This anti-lift out sliding window lock is constructed of extruded aluminum with a steel thumbscrew, and it comes in an aluminum painted finish. The design of this lock is manufactured to fit on older style, metal framed windows, usually of single pane glass. For a secure hold, finish by tightening thumbscrew with pliers for a sure grip in closed or ventilating positions. These locks are reversible and can be used on both left and right-handed sliding window panels. They are easy to install and are used by many to increase the security of their home. Note: this anti-lift out bar lock is not for use on vinyl windows.
