Monterey Pot Planter

It can be difficult and frustrating to find simple, square planter boxes like this in the right size, so I was over the moon with joy when I saw these and they weren't like $1000 for each box. These were absolutely perfect for placing on either side of our garage door. I inserted a pair of ladder-style black and brown trellises I made and filled the boxes with medium-sized river stones. That gave it a really great modern/Zen vibe.

Love how large and heavy they are, no blowing away in the wind.

Who thing fell apart in under a year

These arrived damaged. Both planters had cracks in them.

Bottom drain hole is elevated quite a bit higher preventing drainage - Rotten roots for sure - thin so drilling other holes would probably compromise base 90 day warranty for a reason

UPDATE: This planter does not last past a season or two. Planted in it summer of 2024. At the end of the season I emptied it & stored it in my shed over winter. Just brought out my planters & this one has cracks & the bottom finish is flaking off in large pieces. It's pretty but I would NOT buy it knowing what I know now. Original review:Really nice. Very well made. It’s a little whiter in real life (It looks more cement color in the picture.)

★☆☆☆☆ Horrible – Cracked on Arrival Against my better judgment, I ordered this light cement planter—even after reading reviews warning that it cracks easily. Sadly, those warnings were not exaggerated. Both planters arrived cracked in multiple areas, straight out of the box. This isn’t a case of minor flaws—it’s a serious quality issue. The material is clearly too fragile, and packaging doesn’t do anything to protect it. I’m now replacing them with a different material altogether. Extremely disappointed with this purchase. Save yourself the hassle—do not buy.
