Solid wood. Easy to assemble- 16 screws. Time will tell how the finish holds up. It seems like it may be prone to scratching.  I am buying some wooden feet to add to the bottom so that shoes and the vacuum cleaner can fit underneath.

Love the bench and the rustic color. Only issue is the description said it was 12 in deep and it is only 11.25in.

This is a very lovely addition to our kitchen. It was very easy to assemble and sturdy and salad.

Got the blonde version. Good solid wood. Very easy to put together. Comes with its own adjustable felt feet.

Due to a "glitch," the price we were charged was higher than the price we were quoted when we placed the order, and Wayfair refused to refund the difference. The quality of the bench was not what we had hoped for, even at the lower price. It's functional, but we were disappointed.
