The bookshelf is wonderful. Very sturdy and it looks high quality. As you can see I am using for our tv and it’s deep enough where the hdmi cords have room to be plugged in horizontally into the back of the tv. One heads up though, the package is HEAVYYY so be ready to have someone help you carry it in. Other than that, once it was built (which the assembly was so easy) it wasn’t to hard to move around to where I wanted it. I ordered 4 of the large book cases and 4 of the smaller ones same style to make my built in unit for my office. The shelves were very fast and easy to put together. I was able to modify the smaller shelves to stack them to complete the built in. It took me nearly a year and being on an out-of-stock wait-list to find the perfect shelving unit that combined fashion with functionality and here it is, finally! I actually purchased two of these, one for each corner of my dining room. I like the bold black framing, as it ties in my other modern decor while the light colored wood brightens the space highlighting my plants and decorative accents. It was pretty easy to put together aside from the doors on the cabinet (but that could just e because I'm not very good at hanging doors ). The cabinet has enough space to house an air fryer with a little room to spare. It was very important to me that the shelving unit had a bottom cabinet since my kitchen doesn't have the space to hold all my small appliances. the bookcase is great. the color is slightly off from the pictures but i expected that based on reviews and it matches my other furniture as a result. maybe have more ergonomic philips head screwdriver ready because the one it comes with hurt my palm quite a bit. only complaint is the mechanism to keep the bookshelf from tilting was confusing. im just going to get a different earthquake strap.. The sturdiness of this piece of furniture is very good. I didn’t expect it to be so durable. It looks lovely in the space. One of pieces did chip on the edge right out of the box but because it’s a corner piece I was able to hide it easily.
