Great product! I love OXO!

I love how thin the openings are and the zester is great.

This has the newer laser cut grating holes. Very sharp, but flush enough to avoid cutting your knuckles. Works great. We took off the storage box attachment for greater stability. Detachable zester attaches securely and detaches easily. Good tool.

What can I say? I'm clumsy. Knocked it off the counter and it exploded! Actually the thin piece of plastic retainer holding the large hole grate plate broke. I think it may have been glued in as opposed to a press fit. Good news. The micro plane and the little shred collector survived.

Okay, so the title was a little over the top, but honestly, I own so many OXO products and swear by all of them. I cook a lot and my box grater had seen better days. So I looked and looked and saw this OXO Box grater and knew it was perfect. So far I have used most of the sides including the removable rasp. I use a lot of freshly grated parm, so that comes in handy and easier to use than my full size one. But, the biggest advantage of this grater is the measuring box it comes with. You grate right into it and know just how much you have. GENIUS! OXO you've done it again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] On first unpacking I was impressed with the build quality of the product. It's not "just a grater" it's a multi-purpose product. You have a box grater with standard-size large and small grating on opposite sides. Cleverly attached to the side is a plane grater which can be detached, ideal for testing and hard foods like parmesan or even nutmeg. Opposite is a sharp slicer which produces nice thin slices of things like onions or cucumber. Attached to the bottom is a small graduated container which has graduations up to 300ml or 1 1/4 cups, very handy. It also has a detachable lid which can be used to seal what you have been grated for storage. The top handle is rubberised making it easy to grip and use. My old metal grater has now been retired.

Great perks detachable lemon zester, but unless your and avid baker or love grater your spices. I wouldn’t miss it.
