Made by Zinus, this is a wonderful product and Wayfair has the best price. We wanted space under a Queen bed in a "get-away" studio without the need for a box spring - and this is truly perfect! I assembled it on my own (and I’m definitely a non-mechanically-minded 65 year old female) so I now can state my favorite little surprise in the package was the sweet turquoise blue hammer for making sure one can give each corner a good thwack to synch the steel edges together. It snaps in place so the "assembly" is super easy. What few parts there are are numbered. No screws and washers to deal with - just that satisfying "thwack"! The frame is a true 18 inches above the floor and we added 3 inch risers so we have 21 inches for storage. There is one center leg (which needs its own riser if you are adding those for more height) so you do need to be mindful of what you want to store under the bed. We have a lovely tri-fold foam guest bed under one side and the bedding for it on the other. Essentially two queen beds in the space of one! We also added a head board to the bed, but others have just used the wall or put a wall-mount head board in place. I will add photos of the frame without the bed and covers when we are next up at this little "get-away" but for now you can see how a Queen size bed frame with mattress and covers, can look in a small space.

This was extremely easy to put together, everything is numbered and fits together perfectly. The pieces weren’t too heavy, and I was able to lift the frame pretty easily when it was complete. It is strong and of quality material. It feels like it will last. It took me about 10 minutes to put together, without any other assistance. No tools are needed either. I am currently using it for a full bed, and plan on transitioning to a queen, eventually. I don’t know how well it would work for king size, but for the other three it is very sturdy. It doesn’t creak or move around when you lie down, or turn over. The height is a little shorter than my previous bed frame. I have a box spring and thick mattress (which has a topper), when I sit on the side of the bed my feet are flat on the floor. I’m a little over 5’ 7” tall, for reference. I am very happy with this frame, it’s exactly what I was looking for.

This gets five stars because it is very simple to assemble and it seems quite sturdy. The design is rather thoughtful and once it was laid out on the floor it came together in 15 minutes. If you are putting it on a wood floor, I highly recommend adding adhesive felt pads to each of the contact points for the floor. A couple of other notes 1) This package is HEAVY. I’d enlisted a friend’s help to put the frame together but what I really needed was assistance getting it up a flight of stairs so thank goodness I had that help available. 2) My Tempur-Pedic mattress was on box springs from the day I bought it to the day I put it on this frame. I always thought the mattress was rather firm but when I swapped it over to the frame I was surprised by how much give it actually has. It’s not a bad thing, just an unexpected thing. My first world problem complaint is that it’s only available in black, and it’s powder coated so painting it would be an enormous project. Otherwise, A+ so far and the cats are thrilled with their new under-bed wonderland.

I've never had a platform bed before so this was a nice change as it also saved a lot of space not having the frame take a few more precious inches in the room. If you're wondering: 1) the slats are held to the frame by velcro so that it doesn't shift 2) there are two support beams underneath, basically one for each person's side 3) yes you *might* get a frame that is a bit warped at the ends so that connecting everything will be slightly problematic but at least for myself, it wasn't anything a hammer couldn't fix. In my case, one of the ends of connecting pipes was very very slightly dented out and didn't fit into the corresponding piece properly so I just took a hammer and dented it back inward. Voila. I hammered a spot that isn't visible at all when the bed is completely assembled. 4) You may have read some previous reviews about the adhesive ruining the mattress so the solution to that is to not peel the protector off. If you have a heavy enough mattress, your mattress won't shift even the slightest. Overall, basic, sturdy and easy to assemble!

This was bought on sale to replace an uncomfy twin set at my 98 yr old mum's house that made it very difficult to want to visit her. I needed a simple queen bed frame that would accommodate a memory foam mattress with no need for boxspring. I needed it to be strong but inexpensive since it is not meant to be a forever bed purchase due to my mom's age. I am a 61 yr old woman and I knew I had to be able to assemble it myself so I did my research carefully. I'm happy I selected this frame as it checked off all my needs. It took me about 2 hrs to unbox it, make sense of the directions, and then assemble it all on my own. The instructions are visual and very easy to figure out if you are design & visually oriented. I laid the pieces out on the floor to mimic the diagram-- the pieces are numbered and everything lined up as shown. I liked that they gave me extra hardware "just in case" but I did not need it nor did I need the "ratchet" tool provided, just the allen wrench. I liked that the design incorporates velcro which makes it easy to place the wooden slats--- they don't tell you this but you will want to start the slat placement exactly where the velcro is located so that your first wooden slat is spaced away from the bed ends. I like that they also have double stick tape to help hold the mattress in place. I found that everything went together perfectly but that the legs take extra patience to align and attach if you are working alone because the location of the screw holes. Also, they don't mention it in the instructions but you have to loosen up one of the screws on the leg in order to slide it into the groove. If you slow down, take your time, and simply look at it all you figure it out as you go along. The bed is sturdy and has plenty of room under it for storage if you desire. I'm using a thick memory foam mattress with built in pillow top so the profile of the bed is a little higher than I originally thought-- if you want a lower profile bed keep that in mind when you order your mattress. Also like the warranty. Thanks!

Love this bed for my spare guest room. I am giving it 4 stars because it is what it is, inexpensive. I ordered the natural and found it to be pleasing with the hard wood and natural wood baseboards and trim. It is not a white, it does tend to be more yellow. However, in my aging home, this matches! I ordered memory foam mattress and the whole look is contemporary and what I was trying to achieve. The picture with the light and how it is finished, ie bed linen etc, is also how I finished the space. My daughter uses this space when she visits and it is her style and says it is very comfortable. I also ordered a very bright rug and it is very stylish and shows beautiful with the platform and airy look of the legs etc. So, the whole design is what I was ordering here. Having said that, the bed itself is sturdy, easy to put together, although one leg and side were mismatched. It's an obvious assembly, so no worries. No damage, the delivery was spot on and and I was very pleased as a whole. Having had this a short period of time I wouldn't be able to speak to how it holds up over time. Our use will be minimal, so I felt an inexpensive purchase such as this would be fine. I would not use this for my primary bed, tho. Also, all tools were included for assembly, which was very helpful.

So this is what happened...... Wayfair got the wrong buzzer code and when I called, I was trying hard to reinforce this matter but the receiver wasn't interested. Expected delivery was set for Monday December 30th but I noticed that there was an attempt made Friday December 27th -- in both instances, my buzzer code was NOT used. I found out Monday Dec. 30th night that FedEx did not have 1706 buzzer code, they had 17. Wayfair told me they had it but it was most likely cut off on the label. So I had to wait another day, December 31st and again, there was NO attempt made although correct buzzer code was provided and delivery was promised. I could not shop for groceries because everything was closed. I called Wayfair New Year's Eve and whereas I could not get a guarantee my product would be delivered; the Wayfair agent had me hold while she contacted FedEx and spoke to a familiar agent she knew from Wayfair. It was understood that FedEx would deliver the item on Thursday January 2nd and not to leave until item was delivered. OUR intercom system was actually down so FedEx driver called me (as he did on Friday Dec 27th) which is a very good thing and told me the intercom system was down. This was in fact true -- however, in the previous days, the intercom system was working because both my son and I double-checked. This feedback is very important because this sort of thing occurred when other products were delivered. Canada Post does NOT deliver to the door for apartment buildings. It is important that delivery people are able to access apartment buildings, access customers by phone if need be when intercom system is not working or buzzer code is wrong, and that they deliver to door because customers make purchases to have products shipped or make arrangements for large items to be delivered. Please heed this feedback because it is the 2nd statement I'm making so that you are better able to satisfy customers and work with FedEx. I do however really appreciate that the driver did make a call. He said after 3 delivery attempts, they would have called. I was the one that had to make calls to Wayfair to get Wayfair to call FedEx. Driver could be right, FedEx may still be the best option. He told me UPS would not deliver to my door in an apartment building; we all know Canada Post will absolutely NOT deliver -- not an option. I am unclear about Purolator -- it's been a long time since I had Purolator deliver an item, I'm sure I was not satisfied however. All in all, I gave everything a 5 star and I would like to make future purchases so please get this right.

Overall, this is a pretty good bed frame for the price. It's simple, quiet, seems sturdy (for average sized people), and has plenty of space underneath for stashing storage boxes. It was pretty easy to assemble and even came with a nifty ratcheting allen key that I'll totally keep and use for other products. The only thing I don't like about the product is more of an issue with Wayfair's product listing than the actual item. When the box arrived (slightly beat up but no more than expected) the product was listed as Mellow Rocky Base C. Nowhere did it say anything about Wachapreague, so I Googled and found that the Mellow Rocky Base C is identical to the product listing on Wayfair. The price was within a few bucks from what Mellow sells it for on their website, so that was fine. It just threw me for a minute. I don't know what deal Wayfair and Mellow have worked out, but I think the product listing needs to match the product that arrives, even if it's just the brand and product name. Some people won't be savvy or thoughtful enough to Google and compare specs to make sure it's the same thing, so Wayfair would probably be better off making sure they match before those people start calling to return items that are mislabeled on the website.

I love this bed! The wood/metal combination still looks so chic and pretty with my decor. I’m happy with my choice! As an FYI, there were some issues with the metal frame being bent and unable to be assembled at first, but I was able to use tools to make the headboard fit into the base. I legit freaked out after carrying the bed up 3 flights of stairs and thought I’d need to return the whole thing. It was annoying but fixable if you have simple tools. There were no issues with the packaging so it just seems like the bed was made wrong. Just don’t freak out like I did. :) Also it’s a small issue but the bed has creaked a couple times while I’m sitting on it. It’s not too often but my last frame never made a sound so I hope it doesn’t get worst as time goes on. Slightly random, but I was worried that standard storage boxes for under the bed wouldn’t fit and I’m happy to say they do! Overall I love the look and quality of the bed (after I was able to put it together). I would definitely recommend for any style bedroom.

My order came on time, package was intact, not too heavy to left up to a three story town home. My 15 year old son was able to take it all the way up (but he also works out everyday). I really like how the tools are coming in plastic kits now instead of small multi bags. All my parts were available and nothing was damaged, thankfully since this is all white. Instructions were very clear and easy to understand, looked at it twice and was good to begin. They come with plastic caps on the bars, DO NOT REMOVE them. Also double check to make sure they haven’t fallen off while putting it together. They help with reducing squeaking noise, it also tells you this in the instructions. Took me about an hour to put together by myself. Seems pretty sturdy, only time will tell on how it holds up. I’m using this bed for myself, I’m 5,5 and weigh 295. I’ve been looking for a heavy duty bed frame with headboard Compatibility, and space for storage. This bed seemed to be the most promising in my search without breaking my budget. I’ll be mainly the only one using this bed so we will see how it hold up. So far there has been absolutely NO squeaking or noise from the bed when moving around on it and off. I forgot to take pics after putting it together, but I took what I could. My only concern would be how the slots for the side bars attachment and middle bar attachment were welded. I think they could have done a better job but again we will see. If I had to bet money on how it would break it would be due to the welded pieces. Also the sticky strip used to keep the mattress in place really works but if your a person who flips your mattress or uses a bed skirt like me this can be a problem. After so many times of taking the mattress off of the strip or using a bed skirt over it, I think it will lose its usefulness. My suggestion would be to buy Velcro padsstrips or buy another sticky strap to place over the old one. This should solve the problem. Other than that I’m pleased with this bed. Hope to get a headboard to attach to the frame. I will update about headboard attachment and then do a 6 month and a year review (if I don’t forget) Lastly measurements on the site were accurate for my bed frame.

Good frame! Purchased 2 different steel frames from different companies on Wayfair for my teen kid. This one was for my girl & she loves it! Great "Big Girl" replacement to the wood bunkbed she's had for a while. We searched for frames that were high enough so that the stuff she had under her bed previously would STILL fit. SUCCESS with this frame! Same height from floor to frame. Now for specifics- 1. this frame is super easy to put together (LITERALLY) my 12 year old put together BOTH bed frames purchased 2. The frames metal support bars for the mattress are sturdy and wide which I really am glad about. 3. NO SQUEAKING!! That was a big factor. I didn't want to hear that happen everytime she or someone else sat/moved on/off the bed (dogs/people) 4. The height is perfect! 14 inches. 5. There ARE holes to attach a headboard (WHOO-HOO) 6. PRICE!! well there's nothing to say other than TOTALLY WORTH IT! Like I said we looked at alot of them & this one had the best price for the quality. 7. The color! My daughter loves it! She has wanted an all white furniture in her room & she is absolutely smitten with this frame! It matches her dresser, nightstand, desk & ladder shelving PERFECTLY All in all we are all happy with this purchase & definitely recommend it

Let me start by saying that as a 20 something I can always afford the nicest furniture and have gone through 4 bed frames in the span of 4 years. My dog has broken 2 of them and the other two fell apart after a year or didn’t stand up to a move. But not zinus. I bought my Joseph 18in platform bed in hopes that I would get a sturdy minimalist frame and tons of storage. And I got that and so much more! Assembly was easy by myself and when moving disassembly was even easier. And the frame is just as sturdy if not sturdier after have moved and re tightened all the bolts. I can fit 6 full sized suitcases and my dogs toy box under this bed and still have a little room for random bits. I would not only recommend this to a friend but to anyone looking for a solid sturdy bed frame. Honestly I would even give it as a gift knowing how happy it’s made me. 10/10 would recommend to everyone!

I bought the Lyster Platform Bed in the summer for my guest room (also 5/5 for price and function) and for the record it totally does NOT need a box spring - I have it set up with the Costco Springwall Campus II Double Mattress (really sorry Wayfair) and it is very sturdy and super comfortable even when my 200+ pound Uncle stays in town. He raves about how comfortable he is. Well our family are sheet tuckers, and without a box underneath the Lyster bed is just not quite as tidy and cozy as I'd like. The box (it is not a box "spring", just a wood frame box) finishes off the look for me, the sheets tuck in nicely and the boards do not squeak at all. It was incredibly easy to put together - I'm a 54 yr old female so I did have to open the box first at the front door and then make a few trips downstairs with the 3 large pieces, then the planks but not a big deal at all. I used an electric drill for the planks - came together in probably an hour of so - super easy. Buy it - you'll be happy!

We have a memory foam mattress and our old adjustable bed base was extremely squeaky every time we sat down or even rolled over. Since we never ended up using the adjustable function we ordered this bed to replace it. Shipping was pretty quick. It arrived in less than a week. This was extremely easy to assemble and the instructions were very clear. I think it took me and my husband all of 15 minutes to put this together. The bed frame is rock solid. We have only had it for a week, but thus far it's been absolutely silent with no squeaking whatsoever. Of note, the legs are right/left specific (but they are labeled with corresponding numbers instead of "right" or "left". Also, the legs at the head of the bed have horizontal spaces to allow you to attach your own headboard. The holes for the screws absolutely DO line up properly if they are on the correct side. If you try to connect them on the wrong side the holes will not line up. Also, the legs have 2 holes for screws to attach to the bed frame. One of the holes should come with a screw already in it. Use those pre-attached ones as they are. Loosen them just a few turns to be able to slide the legs into place, then add one of the other provided screws that have washers to secure the second hole. Then use the allen wrench to tighten them. I do not need under bed storage, but if you do this bed frames offers plenty of space. UPDATE: We've had this bed frame for around 4 years. It's still rock solid. I would totally buy this again and recommend it. I have to assume the folks who had issues assembling it put it together wrong-likely putting legs on the wrong side.

Okay, I just got this frame yesterday but here is my report:It was listed on Wayfair. I'm almost 70 and, including the time to get it out of the box to getting mattress on top of it, all by myself, took 56 minutes. I could do it much faster now since I wouldn't be confused by some things. With this in mind, my problem was messing up the orientation of things. Two elements would have made it easier if I noticed them sooner.One was that some parts of the instructions would say "x2" or something. Meaning there were two times you did a particular step. I simply didn't look at that at first. The other was more important. Most of the pictures show a closeup of the connection, and then an overview, smaller, picture of the bed at that point - with checkmarks for where the part you are putting together are. I didn't figure that out until I was several steps in! If I had, I would have not have gone slower as I tried to figure out where the heck I was on the whole frame! They were kinda oddly formed check marks at that. I think it would have been better to use little arrows in the picture.Still, it wasn't a big deal. I first put everything together without tightening everything fully - just snug in case I had done something wrong and had to redo anything. Once everything was right, I went around and tightened everything firmly.Seems very solid. No squeaking or rattling at all.For the time being, I have not exposed the sticky tape on four of the supports that are for holding the mattress in place. I'm going to see how it does without that step. If it is a problem, I'll probably just expose one at each end. That way, hopefully, when I change mattresses in the future, I'll still be able to have "fresh" tape to hold it if necessary. As I said, I've seen this frame elsewhere online. But I live in Hawaii and, in every case except this manufacturer, they wouldn't ship this item to Hawaii and, for those which also had physical stores here, none of them carried it here!So I'm very pleased that they did. Yes, it did have an extra shipping cost, but even including that, it was much cheaper than anything I could find that was remotely similar locally. Best I could find was something that didn't seem quite as good, but would have cost me over $100 more!

It took me an extra 30 minutes than was needed because I stared at the the pieces for about 20 minutes. Dont do that and youll have a bedframe in less than 45 minutes. Very easy to put together. Questioned how bars 6 inches apart would support my Firm queen mattress. Well!! This frame has actually brought back what this mattress was always supposed to feel like. Theres a firmness and support that was lacking on the boxstring. I have a 14 mattress and was shocked at the height this frame gave the bed, so was my dog. Its sharp though. It adds a certain something to the room. Im so excited at the under bed storage but I do recommend to stay at around 11 inches for storage containers. I jumped the gun and bought a bunch of containers listed at 12 34 inches based on measurements provided by Wayfair. They go under but without the lids and with a bit of pushing because Im on carpet. I may provide a Pic once I get room sorted out but I just want to say that I cant say enough good things for this frame. Worth giving up the idea of a padded frame and headboard, but Im wondering how I will test the 1500 lb capacity

Love the bed frame! It was delivered as stated without any problems, and set up was very easy, just a matter of extending the legs and locking it in place, putting the frames together side by side, and using a molded red clip with a long screw which secures the two frames together! That’s it! This frame is designed for the newer thick memory foam mattresses however it can be used for the older mattresses if you leave out the wooden hard frame, but will need to buy 4 feet cups to make it higher. Gone are the days of the old heavy metal frames that you have to lock together by using a hammer and possibly break a nail or injure yourself trying to put it together!! The newer memory foam mattresses are very comfortable too, I bought mine from Wayfair, just have to pick the firmness level. For me a firm level is the best since my husband and I are on the heavy side with some back problems. I think if you are a small lightweight petite person or a bedridden patient, a medium or soft mattress would work for you. Love wayfair with their reasonable prices, free delivery and quality items.

Absolutely blown away with this purchase and product! As a critical shopper, I look for things like 1) Customer Service 2) Packaging appearance 3) Shipping speed 4) Product Quality and 5) Ease of Assembly. ALL of these things had 5-STARS in my book. The product arrived super fast (4 days) and in one-package that was well-wrapped and not super heavy (about 50lbs). Upon opening the box, everything was individually wrapped for protection and there was the cutest "thank you" card and instructions on top. The instructions were super simple and the overall assembly took about 30 minutes. This manufacturer seemed to think of everything, from the simplicity of the instructions, to even including a little ratchet allen-wrench! Super nice touch! The product itself was well-designed and made, with the frame connecting perfectly at all points. The bolts fit nicely into the holes created and there wasn't any squeaking or shifting when we laid our mattress down on the frame. The only con(s) I would say is that the weight of the top frame doesn't sit into the base at the corners (like an "L" shape)--instead it aligns like a "T" and the weight of the frame is on the bolts. Additionally, the bars that are in the middle supporting make it so that you cannot fit a storage container all the way through under the bed. It only allows a container to fit about halfway before hitting the support pole. This wasn't a huge deal for us though, as we realize this is so the bed will be more supportive as whole. Overall, this product seems very durable and well-made. I would highly recommend this product!!!

Living in NYC you have to know how to get creative in order to have storage space. This platform bed frame is the best 90 you will spend. Take it from me as someone who gets super irritated when reviews say “it is easy to put together “ and when it arrives , you want to pull your hair out and question yourself as to what industrial engineer wrote that review. I promise you, this bed frame is truly the easiest thing to put together (took me a total of 15 min start to finish including unboxing) and there is so much storage space underneath! I had no room in my bedroom for a dresser but with this thing I have created it by placing open rolling bins underneath. You know the square cube storage bins The ones you can put into cube furniture I had a few 13.25” x 13.25 “ ones and those fit so perfectly underneath they give it an illusion of drawers . However- beware of the sides as some of the other reviews state. This is the only con. If you can walk fully around your bed there is a chance of hitting your foot and omg does it hurt. Nothing a little padding can’t fix but still annoying. Nonetheless not annoying enough for me to choose a different platform bed frame.

I started researching memory foam mattresses, because I was recently diagnosed with a chronic illness that causes global pain issues, and finding a comfortable position to sleep in had become impossible. My computer is smarter than me, noticed I was doing a lot of memory foam mattress searches, and threw me a Zinus ad when I was reading Yahoo. Thank you computer! I ordered the 18" steel bed frame - easy to set up, and the perfect height for storage underneath. The frame arrived on a Friday, and the shipment was marked online as "delivered"... but no mattress! A quick call to the shipper (Can't remember if it was FedEx or UPS) confirmed that the frame & mattress shipped separately, and the mattress was on its way. My mattress is a 14" cool gel memory foam (full size). Setting it up was a challenge (I live alone 75% of the time, so no one to help), but I gotta say watching the mattress decompress was one of the funniest/most entertaining things I've seen in a while. I wish someone had been with me to take a video! It started expanding the second I cut into the vacuum-sealed plastic, and was almost completely expanded by the time I finished cutting the plastic off. It went from pancake to POOF! in less than 10 minutes! It's also very comfortable to sleep on. When I lay down I can initially feel all of the pain points (neck, shoulders, elbows, hips, knees), but after a minute or two my brain goes "ohhhh... this is what support feels like" and I can relax enough to sleep. I'm already budgeting to replace the mattresses in the rest of the house with Zinus!
