This is awesome! It is a nice love seat when it is folded up, but it transforms into a sofa bed when you pull the cushion out from underneath. The back can be fully upright, flat, or angled for lounging. The cushions are removable, but they can also be held in place with strong velcro so that they do not slide when you are lying down or sitting against them. It has just the right amount of cushion so it is neither too firm nor too soft, and you do not sink too far in. The material is soft and has a velvet feel. I purchased the blue linen version of this sofa. I had trouble deciding how to rate it because there are features I love and hate about it. I have been searching for a small convertible sofa for over a year. The main feature that attracted me to this piece is that it's "convertible". I also wanted blue. It's really difficult to find a coloured sofa in this "neutral" market. Most of the convertible sofas I looked at were massive or awkward to switch back and forth from sofa to bed. I think it has an interesting look to it and I love that it folds down completely flat. People are correct when they say its hard and somewhat uncomfortable. It's more like luxury patio furniture than a proper sofa so keep that in mind if you choose it. I have a twin mattress pad that I put on it for a bit more cushioning and I can still feel the base but my husband says it's fine as is for napping. I love that you can put a mattress pad on it and twin sheets to protect it and use it as a temporary twin bed. There are no arms to get in the way of lying down and spreading out fully.
