The hardware package was unopened but, there were three assembly screws out of eight missing (they are being ordered). I have had the chair for about two weeks now and am pleased with the quality, the assembly and the comfort as a chair, when laid out as a bed (which is a cinch) it is not as comfortable as expected. Not worth the price, even at a discount. Entire assembly is poor quality. All of the pre-drilled bolt holes were misaligned, the slider bed portion will not stay closed while you're sitting on the sofa and the seat cushions slide out from underneath you, leaving a gap behind your back that you constantly have to get up and try to slide the unit back together. My unit arrived with a completely bent mainframe on top of that, and I was unable to assemble the unit upon arrival. I wanted to return the entire piece of junk and get my money back, but was not given that option, only to replace the bent mainframe.
