Very well-made velvet sofa. The fabric is really beautiful. You will notice that the back does come in two separate pieces as well as the base of the sofa. It does sit lower to the ground, but is very comfortable. I will use it with my Staging business and it will get a lot of use. Is on the heavier side. That can be a positive if you are using it for every day use. It is long and you could easily stretch out for a nice nap. Overall, I love the sofa. This is a nice looking sofa at a good price! I like the shape and the fabric. A few things to note: 1) I ordered "brown" but it really reads "gray"; however, the color is pretty neutral so it goes with anything; add some pillows and it looks great; 2) the back is FIRM so you really sit upright on it; this isn't something you sink into; 3) it's really comfortable to lay down on, which is what I wanted.
