Very well-made velvet sofa. The fabric is really beautiful. You will notice that the back does come in two separate pieces as well as the base of the sofa. It does sit lower to the ground, but is very comfortable. I will use it with my Staging business and it will get a lot of use. Is on the heavier side. That can be a positive if you are using it for every day use. It is long and you could easily stretch out for a nice nap. Overall, I love the sofa. The only negative would be the separate pieces that come together to form the long sofa. I realize this is probably easier for shipping. But if placed against a wall, it is not noticeable.. Susan. I like it, but it's not for everyone. This is unique--it's a big, low, orange chair with some BIG ridges in the corduroy. Be aware of things: 1. Because the corduroy ridges are wide and shallow, they don't trap dust as bad as narrower corduroy would (good thing!), but there are some imperfections in the ridges (see photo). 2. This is incredibly soft, but there's only a moderate amount of support in the seat. I weigh 170lbs and it feels fine, but if I were a bit heavier I might feel differently. 3. The back cushion is not attached to the chair with velcro or anything else (see photo), but since the back is curved, it does stay in place nicely. 4. As others mention, the seat height is NOT 18 INCHES, it's about 13 inches. And the footrest is an inch shorter, so your legs will be at a (slight) downward angle. I got the sofa bed in beige faux leather with cherry legs. I have not tried sleeping on it, and it is quite solid to sit on, but it is nonetheless exactly what I needed. I wanted to convert my son's old room into a den/guestroom that could accommodate him on his infrequent visits home (a regular sofa might have made him feel unwelcome and displaced) or that could accommodate the occasional overnight guest without encouraging them to linger too long. This sofa is the perfect size to create a reading corner amidst a wall of books, while still providing reasonable sleeping accommodations for 1-2 guests. I am very pleased. I looked far and wide before finding anything in a pale beige faux leather (I am vegan and dislike large dark sofas). This modular sofa is awesome. It was super easy to open up. It came very compact and inflated almost right away. It does take a full day or so to completely fill in. So don't worry if it looks a bit lopsided at first. The box was a bit heavy so I'd suggest a team lift to place it where it will stay. The pieces are all separate so it's easy to change the lay out.
