Ok so I would have given this 5 stars because it’s gorgeous and COULD HAVE BEEN easy to assemble - BUT… it came with the screwsbolts on the legs covered in some sort of protective hard plastic that was all but GLUED to the metal. I had to use assorted serrated knives to sawpry them off first. It took half an hour to get them all the way off and by the time I finally did it, there was shredded plastic all over the room, the wood was damaged because there was no way around that (I had to be aggressive to get them to budge), and I was bleeding. Perfect small desk for the second-floor landing of a beach home. Looked nautical without being obvious. Solid wood top with heave iron legs. Looks vintage, too. A unique piece that gave a boring landing a bit of charm. Arrived perfectly packaged in two parts. Add the base to the wood top and it was ready to go. In the working drawer, I added nautical-themed notecards and pens for any guests wanting to send a card home. I also left a strip of beach-themed “forever” USPS stamps in there.. Ada.
