Positively IN LOVE with these sofas! Firm enough for me, soft enough for my husband. I’ve sat on countless sofas at furniture stores and immediately popped up with a “Nope!” So naturally I was nervous at 2k a pop, no cancels or returns and a front door that wasn’t quite 36” wide as needed per the delivery specs. They had the look I wanted which no local store seemed to carry, totally washable which is a must with large dogs so I took a chance- and oh am I glad I did. They took a few weeks to arrive but came earlier than expected. Delivery was easy- the guys were fantastic. I haven’t tried the sleepers- they’ll serve their need eventually. This couch is exactly what I’d hoped for! It is the perfect size for my home office and the hideaway bed allows me to have an extra guest room when the need arises. I got the sofa bed in beige faux leather with cherry legs. I have not tried sleeping on it, and it is quite solid to sit on, but it is nonetheless exactly what I needed. I wanted to convert my son's old room into a den/guestroom that could accommodate him on his infrequent visits home (a regular sofa might have made him feel unwelcome and displaced) or that could accommodate the occasional overnight guest without encouraging them to linger too long. This sofa is the perfect size to create a reading corner amidst a wall of books, while still providing reasonable sleeping accommodations for 1-2 guests. I am very pleased. I looked far and wide before finding anything in a pale beige faux leather (I am vegan and dislike large dark sofas). I'm reviewing this after 4.5 years! The sofa is still in great condition. My parents sleep on it whenever they come over which is quite often and love its durability. I do have an extra soft topper on top of it but you don't feel the bar of the bed at all. I plan to buy another one now for another room. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 just because it's a little on the hard side for cushioning and i prefer more of a soft cushion for watching TV. However, we only use it for the sofa bed part. First of all, this sofa is beautiful and great quality! I love the fold-out bed! (5-stars on that). However, in the sofa position, the back and seat are much softer and less firm that I was expecting. I'm short (5 feet tall) and have arthritis in my back and legs, so was hoping for a much firmer sofa that would support me better and comfortably. The problem is that the cushion sinks down in front when I sit on it and lean back, which makes me slide forward. The measurements given in the description for floor to seat and back to front were helpful and very important in my decision. There was some technical information about the firmness, but was not a meaningful description or comparison that was easy for me to understand. I spent a lot of time searching for explanation of the technical info provided, but it was way too complicated. I would have liked more detailed information in "average person" terms about the firmness/softness of the seat and back cushion. I am planning to have the seat and back cushions tufted to firm them up so that I can be comfortable in it. For my purposes, I would not buy this particular sofa again.
