It only has been 24 hours. The covers are very soft like chenille. We sat on it and is a bit firm and I hope it will give a bit with use. I hope this couch will last us for a while. The only thing to consider is that you will either need a flat sheet to use as a sheet or will need to order custom-fitted sheets because of the dimensions of the mattress (89 long is not King size standard).
