Decent stool for the price point. It folds up nicely to be tucked away when not in use. There was no protective padding in the shipping box. A couple of the pictures show the slightly bent seat. It is semi-sturdy, not for extensive use. Will come in handy when we need an extra barstool at the table. I would not recommend this for situations of continuous, daily use. The seat is slightly padded but not meant for comfort for extended periods of time. Black color will blend with most decors. Recommend, but only at this lower price point.. Leslie. Very cute. Comfortable for a period of time. I’m 170 and it holds me just fine. I like the size because it fits my little desk and my scanner. It arrived pretty quick. It was packaged well to avoid any breakage. I have arthritis and recently had major surgery so this will help me from bending or kneeling down to wash woodwork. Love them. Better than expected from reviews... I took a chance as couldn't find a stool to fit flush under a 12 inch depth counter. Tip.. be careful putting the foot rests in, don't tighten the first one just have it loosely held in place go back and tighten after the second bar is in place to avoid scratching the acrylic when pushing second bar into the holes. Love these stools! I do feel that the silver-tone upholstery tacks around the base of the seats would look better if they were more ‘disressed’ to complement the appearance of the wood, but I solved this by chalk-painting the tacks a dark brown/gray color (photo shows one finished stool, one pre-paint).
