Some objects maintain their form almost unchanged over time, and design’s role is to interpret and refine their archetype. This holds true for everyday items that are so frequently used that their shape becomes self-evident: a fork, a plate, a chair. Their form reflects their function, and their aesthetics must never be compromised. This principle has always guided our design approach—creating flowing designs directly inspired by natural ergonomics. Ta, a monosyllabic word as simple as a child’s first utterance in Chinese, means ‘him’ or ‘her.’ It signifies human identity, irrespective of gender, universal and inclusive. A chair, indeed, is a distinctly human object, molded to serve its purpose. It follows the contours of the body, whether for dining or working at a table. It offers a resting position, suspended between wakefulness and slumber, a place to pause or enjoy the company of others. With Ta, we aim to provide an elegantly simple response to the need for both ergonomics and aesthetics. Ta’s design draws inspiration from the style of the 1950s but infuses it with a contemporary touch—honest and democratic design, made possible through an advanced yet relatively straightforward construction technique. It offers a wide array of solutions, with its strength lying in its flexibility. Three solid, flowing, and sinuous shells can be paired with five curved metal tubular bases featuring wooden elements, each characterized by essential design. The color palette reflects contemporary preferences, and the option to add seat pads to the shells allows for numerous customized combinations.

This chair is a modern dining chair with a comfortable upholstered seat and backrest on wood legs. The feet are plastic-tipped. Its padded removable seat cushion provides extra comfort. Patara Chair is suitable for both residential and commercial use.

I chose this chair due to a recommendation from another customer who used the chairs for playing poker. I purchased four chairs. They are comfortable and easy to assemble with an electric drill. They come with an attached heavy/sturdy metal plate to the chair legs. You then screw the metal plate with the attached legs to the bottom of the seat. The chair is one piece. No assembly. Very nice design as you don't have to screw in individual legs. Very sturdy chair, not wobbly. I doubt anyone could flip over due to their weight. I chose light grey wool with walnut legs. Guests have remarked that the chairs are comfortable. I have them in my kitchen with a 48" round glass top table. I'm sure they would work beautifully in a dining room.. Barbara. Sun Jun 11 2023

I am satisfied with this purchase. The chair arrived rather quickly, assembling it was very easy since it comes in two pieces. The legs are already assembled so you just have to secure a few screws to the chair and you are all set. The chair is comfortable with sufficient cushioning. The back of the chair comes right up to my shoulder blades so it’s not too high. I don’t recommend it for sitting back on it for a long time.. Gisselle. Atlanta, GA. Thu May 01 2025
