Anchor the dining room in an effortless style with this essential table, perfect for weekday meals and family gatherings alike.

WARNING: This cross-bar may need to be adjusted for full operation (best before you put the rest of the table together). I had to disconnect the top from the base 3 times to get it right. Default from the factory and the table may not close unless one holds down the side-skirting on the leaf. That sucks. Too far one direction and the table closes, but the leaf will not pivot out. Too far the other direction and the leaf pivots freely, but the table will not close without holding down the side-skirting on the leaf in it's folded position. There's a "sweet spot" such that both operations will work seamlessly. I had to relocate mine about 1/4" inch. It's best if you have a cordless drill and a partner to help. It took 3 attempts to get it right, but once you spend the time to get it right, it's a really nice, small, quaint table that expands easily.. Randy. Boulder, CO. Mon Nov 26 2018

Beautiful, Substantial Table — Just Pay for the Assembly! I absolutely love this table now that it is assembled. The quality is exceptional, and the heavy solid-wood pedestal gives it a substantial, high-end feel. Although the tabletop is MDF, the black finish and visible grain give it the look of cerused oak, so it reads much more like solid wood in person. For everyday use, I keep it at the 38-inch setting, which is perfect for my dining space and comfortably accommodates four place settings. I’m looking forward to extending it to the full 55 inches for holiday dinners. My only criticism is the assembly. This is definitely a two-person job, and the instructions provided were not very helpful. It took us close to four hours, and we ultimately had to find a YouTube video to figure it out. I highly recommend paying for professional assembly. Once together, though, it is sturdy, beautiful, and absolutely worth it. I’m very happy with the purchase.. Manouchka. Miami, FL. Thu Aug 27 2026
