particle board is a bit fragile, my cat likes to scratch at it because the soft wood flakes pretty easily. overall though I love the clean, modern design and the amount of storage space within. assembly is fairly time-consuming-I would say around four hours- however instructions are straightforward and easy to follow.. This is a very nice dresser. There was an issue or two with the wood pieces, theres damage on the left side of the chest and one of the drawer fronts had damage on a corner. I really like this dresser and think it’s a nice piece for the price. I gave it 4 stars because several of the pieces had minor damage when they arrived. Since everything was packaged very well, I assume the damage occurred before it was packed. I’ve included as many photos as I was able to upload of the damaged pieces for reference. Fortunately, once the dresser was assembled, the minor damage was not visible at all. There were quite a few pieces to assemble, so it took a while, but the instructions were very clear and easy to follow. Once assembled, it looks beautiful and is exactly what I was hoping for. This chest is absolutely stunning. It looks exactly like it is pictured online. The whole chest is solid, well made, and it is very heavy. The drawers are soft-close and can hold quite a bit, however the drawers are not particularly deep. The granite is beautiful and since this chest is so large there is quite a bit of granite surface area. I purchased this for my office but it would look beautiful in a bedroom as well. In fact, I kind of want the bedroom set after seeing this in person. I am so happy with this purchase. I've purchased several pieces of this type of dresser in the past. It always comes well packed and all the pieces are there along with extra screws. I thought is was a bit taller but it's still nice. One drawback is the instructions can and should be a bit more precise, the pictures help a lot but wording is so small, and they are not precise in showing how some pieces should be turned so 3/4 into assembly, you don't have to "take it apart" to turn some pieces around. frustrating!.
