Originally received one that did not expand well (most likely due to being compressed in the box for too long, is my guess). Received a replacement that expanded well immediately - did not need to wait the suggested 12 hours. It is more comfortable with a small pillow for back support. The original one I received required me to break the foam apart as it was severely stuck. The new one did not require this. Overall, decent for a foam chair.
