The Amia chair has a secret. Beneath the Amia chair's upholstery, inside its sleek backrest, there's a unique comfort system called live lumbar™ technology. You may not see it, but you'll certainly feel it. As you sit in the chair an adjustable live lumbar™ zone flexes with your every move for consistent ergonomic support for your lower back, hour after hour, day after day. The Amia chair was designed by Steelcase in collaboration with industrial designer, Thomas Overthin of IDEO.

I LOVE my navy and silver task chair. The upholstery is perfect; very smooth for my sensitive skin. I cannot believe how lucky I am to have this ergonomic task chair with all the bells and whistles that work so easily. The lumbar feels so good on my back. The arms are so flexible to move any which way I need them to. The casters are perfect for my hardwood floor; I can flip from one area of my desk to the other freely. It was so easy to take the well-protected chair out of the packaging. It is a fantastic buy. The entire experience was exceptional and I am thrilled. Thank you Wayfair for selling Steelcase and thank you Steelcase for still being the #1 manufacturer of task chairs after all these many years! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!. Carolishca. Lake Worth, FL. The Steelcase series 2 chair has technology featuring an innovative geometric design that flexes in two dimensions, supporting each part of your spine for responsive, personalized comfort and fit. The tilt mechanism is synchronized; the seat and back work in harmony with each other, keeping the body securely supported in the chair and feet firmly planted on the floor so you can recline without leaving your optimal zone for seeing and reaching your work. This model includes an adjustable seat depth, fully adjustable arms (raise up and down, pivot in and out, shift forward and back, and side to side), pneumatic seat height adjustment, recline tension adjustment, flexing plastic mesh back, and upholstered seat. The seat features strong yet pliable foam which conforms to the body and creates pressure-free comfort. The flexible seat edge offers a bit of bend, right where you need it – relieving pressure points under your thighs. This chair will arrive unassembled and require some assembly covered by the Steelcase warranty.

Chair is very high quality, it has a very solid feel and is really well made. Assembly took less than a minute and required no tools. Lots of seat adjustments and overall a great purchase. The only thing I'm not exactly crazy about is that the seat cushion is pretty hard and can get uncomfortable after a while. Overall I don't regret the purchase. Great chair.. Matt. Aurora, IL. Very happy with the colors I chose. Quality of material is high. It arrived pre-assembled in a giant box. It was well wrapped and there's not a nick or scratch on the chair. Since working from home I burnt through a $400 chair in 2.5 years. I decided to make the investment in a higher quality chair. So far when I sit in it my sciatica goes away and my body is just immediately comfortable. I'm only 5'3" and my feet can actually firmly be on the ground. Very happy that I went with the Gesture. It adjusts to fit my height and the arm rests come in closer. I think this chair would still be great for average height people, but it's adjustable so that it works for smaller builds too.. Sg. USA. The Karman line is where the earth’s atmosphere meets space, weightlessness becomes possible, and going beyond becomes a reality. That spirit and feeling are captured in Steelcase Karman, beyond comfort. Steelcase Karman goes beyond other mesh chairs by delivering comfort in an entirely new way. When you sit in this chair, it follows you and moves with you, intuitively responding to your body while providing effortless comfort. Beyond mesh. Steelcase Karman's proprietary performance textile, intermix, creates the just-right support in the seat and back, for all shapes and sizes. Using patented shrink technology, an intermix exclusive weave creates ideal ergonomic support, so it doesn’t sag or feel stiff. It's a self-supporting textile with spring, rebound, and total stability. It distributes weight evenly over the seat and back, flexing to an individual’s movement and fitting the contours of their body.

Great, stable, comfortable chair. Worth the moderate cost. I’m a bigger person and it’s very supportive and strong.. Michelann. US. Wed Oct 09 2024

With this chair, its back moves as your back moves. Its arms move as your arms move. Its seat moves as your seat moves. Its first chair changes shape to mimic and support the movement of your spine. Thanks to its advanced technology and extraordinary comfort, the Leap® chair is a proven technology that is a healthier way to sit.

This chair was fabulously expensive, and I was unsure of making the investment. I’ve now had the chair a week, and I understand the reason why this chair gets so many great reviews. The materials and design are solid and packed with adjustments. The leather was pricey, but absolutely beautiful. I am thrilled with my Leap chair, and I would definitely recommend it.. Robert. Pretty supportive and functional. I do think it is too pricey for the product. Would suggest cushioning for back.. Lena. Orlando, FL. Thu Sep 17 2026
