This traditional styled sofa is perfect for a formal living room. This would not be a sofa that would serve as a comfortable lounging sofa. It is on the firm side and the back is not particularly high. So, there isnt much for comfort there. However, it is gorgeous and is nice to have for extra seating. There are a lot of sofas this color out there this year, so I was especially careful! I wanted a tufted sofa in the Chesterfield style, with no loose pillows (I hate plumping pillows!) and a firm seat. No sink in softness for my delicate back. This sofa is perfect! The sofa is 83 inches very beautiful this was easy to put together no problems with screws. The color is a littler darker than I thought but it’s beautiful made. We bought the blue velvet pull-out king-size sofa bed for our Airbnb. It looks terrific, it's comfortable, it fits perfectly in the small cottage, and provides a second sleeping area. We purchased extra pillows because the sofa is deep-seated, and the pillows provided are not very puffy. The assembly, even with two experienced people, was a bit of a challenge because the sidearm section wouldn't slide into the fitting, but we got it done. We also found it a bit awkward to convert into a bed. The two sections at the bottom that make the bed frame do not pull out smoothly. We don't feel this will be a problem, and it may get easier after it's used a few times. Though we've only had it for less than two months, we are happy with this purchase.. Laura. GA.
