I needed an inexpensive couch to last me the next 4-5 years while I finish up school and one of my non-negotiables was removable cushions. This was the only couch in its price range that had that, and in the color I wanted. Assembly was fairly easy and took me about one hour total (I'm 5'2", 100lbs). Zippers are poor quality, build is 'decent enough for the price' quality, and they give you one extra of each accessory you need (various screws and washers). Cushions are thinner than average but I honestly don't mind that because I don't like sinking all the way into the abyss with fluffy ones, but I foresee years of use culminating in completely squished and compacted cushions. We'll see with time. All in all, I'd give it 3.5 stars. Decent enough for the time being, definitely, but will most certainly be looking for a proper upgrade once I graduate.. Anonymous. I purchased the blue linen version of this sofa. I had trouble deciding how to rate it because there are features I love and hate about it. I have been searching for a small convertible sofa for over a year. The main feature that attracted me to this piece is that it's "convertible". I also wanted blue. It's really difficult to find a coloured sofa in this "neutral" market. Most of the convertible sofas I looked at were massive or awkward to switch back and forth from sofa to bed. I think it has an interesting look to it and I love that it folds down completely flat. People are correct when they say its hard and somewhat uncomfortable. It's more like luxury patio furniture than a proper sofa so keep that in mind if you choose it. I have a twin mattress pad that I put on it for a bit more cushioning and I can still feel the base but my husband says it's fine as is for napping. I love that you can put a mattress pad on it and twin sheets to protect it and use it as a temporary twin bed. There are no arms to get in the way of lying down and spreading out fully.
