Love this chair but it was very difficult to put together. We literally had to remove staples from within the screw holes to get the leg screwed onto the chair. It was an arduous task. My new favorite ottoman and vanity stool in one. It arrived quickly in a small box because the legs were in the ottoman. It comes wrapped in plastic as one of my photos shows, which kept the ivory colored fur clean. The faux fur is close enough to the real thing that Oscar took over assembly, curled up on the seat of the vanity stool, and slept there most of that day! When I finally got to finish assembling my new vanity stool, it took me only about 15 minutes. I agree with my boys--the faux fur is soft, and the seat is well padded and very comfy. I am using this as a vanity stool, and the extra storage space is fantastic. Now I have a place to store my hair dryer and flat iron, plus hair spray, brushes, and a makeup bag. Previously, the hair accessories were on the floor, and my makeup had spread over the entire top of the vanity. With this storage space, it is easy to straighten up my dressing room. At first, I was hesitant to sit down on the stool because the metal legs are thin, and the whole piece seems too delicate for daily use as a seat. But the stool is sturdy, and it is fine holding me. Soooo yes they show you the dimensions and size of the chair but that still did NOT prepare me for how short the chair actually was! The picture makes it look much taller.
