Really love the chairs. I got the chocolate velvet ones. They’re a good size and comfortable. I’m giving 4 stars because the assembly tools were not suited for the way this chair is made. The tool needed to be a lot longer in order to screw in the bolts all the way. Otherwise the angled part of the tool hits the side of the chair so you can’t twist it 360 anymore.. Sydney. They really complement our room and decor. They seem to be made well and have a slightly higher seating height which adds to their comfort ( I’m 5’ 11”). The chairs are fairly comfortable straight out of the box even with the cushions being a little firm, but we hope they will become very comfortable with some use as the cushions get broken in more. I was worried there were no reviews yet, but took a chance. I’ve been looking for a navy blue velvet arm chair that was a mid century modern style, had deep seat, but not too wide for our space (less than 36 inches). The chair is as pictured and also the specs are accurate. However, I should have realized the back is not as high as our old chair but I’ve improvised and added a pillow for me to rest my head. The legs also seem darker than in the pics. It is comfortable to sit in so far and I prefer a firm seat. The back pillow has a zipper so you can take it out to clean or you can change the insert padding and it is reversible. The seat cushion also has a zipper and is removable but you can’t use the other side because it has velcros. Love the deep navy blue color and the soft velvet. We will see how this holds up after more use.. Hap. Sacramento Area. Fri Apr 17 2026
