My husband was the one who assembled this, and he did have to disassemble it and try again because something wasn’t lining up correctly the first time. This is a beautiful piece of furniture. We bought some cabinet lighting to illuminate the glassware on the top. The biggest issues were the installation and door alignment. It was actually very easy to put together but the center crest at the bottom was cut too long and when we put the cabinet on all the legs sitting up it wobbled to the point that we had to remove all together. Also getting the doors aligned took a bit of work but I finally got it. This sideboard is beautiful. Wood grain with a silverware drawer liner inside, nice hardware, and shelves to store your things. I love the height-hard to find in a sideboard and the soft curved edges. It's very pretty and I like how it looks in our dining room. HOWEVER, the delivery process has been a nightmare. The original delivery date was delayed from the initial 10 days to 28 days. Reason was it was damaged in transit. Customer service was called-shockingly, there was no expedited process given the hardware was missing and we have been waiting a month for the piece.. Naturally, it took another week before the hardware shipped and then it was a full 2 weeks before it finally arrived. AND IT ARRIVED TODAY BUT IS THE WRONG HARDWARE! How can this be so hard? When I asked for a credit for the inconvenience, I was told no. Sorry for you! I wouldn't order from Birch Lane again unless you want your furniture in a few months. The sideboard arrived quickly and was well packaged. Despite the heaviness (120 lbs), I was pleased to see the outer edges double or triple protected with cardboard. A two person job for sure to unload into the house. Thankfully, assembly was straightforward although it did take a little over an hour to complete. The cabinet is substantial in weight and dimension. The front side has three sliding drawers banked by two full height side doors. The wood on the front has curved grooved elements that all fit together to make one contiguous pattern. The difficulty is that its hard to make the drawers all close in perfect alignment.
