Before, i had a reclining leather couch that my husky/GSD mix and two pugs sat with me on and my huge GSD had his own matching leather recliner, but I felt bad that he had to be separate. This is a useful design choice however, applying the same connection system to the ottomans would have made alternative sectional layouts much more stable and practical.
