I had got these for extra pool cue for the pool table. The pool cue has a good weight to them, and when guest come over, they have options to choose for their own preference when playing. Everyone likes the options. They can be unscrewed into halfs if needed. While moving into our new home, it was very helpful for us that the pool cue unscrewed into two parts. The butt and throat on this cue are cut from ash, an open grained hardwood, and the finish is chosen to let that grain show through rather than hide it under color.
